FAQ's
How much does your service cost?
It really depends upon what service is being requested and what type of event you are hosting. Each service offering has different starting points. Request a free quote and include as much information as you can to receive an accurate estimate.
How do I reserve or book an event?
To reserve a date for your event, a small non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit will be posted toward the total cost of our services on the final invoice.
How much notice do you need?
We like to have at least one month to prepare for an event. We have, however, provided services with less than one week's notice!
Can you filter out songs with "explicit" lyrics?
Yes. Our database indicates songs with "explicit" lyrics based on the track's manufacturer. We always offer our client's the choice of allowing or avoiding song tracks with explicit lyrics. This comes in handy for Sweet 16 parties.
What kinds of events do you work?
DSE-USA specializes in wedding ceremonies and receptions. That said we also provide our DJ services for birthday and anniversary events. All DJ services include Master of Ceremony (MC) services at no additional cost.
What types of music do you play?
We have every possible genre of music you could want. When we don't have a piece of music a client wants, we purchase it. That is how we've built our collection of music. Ask us for our genre list.
Do you have enough equipment for indoor and outdoor events?
DSE-USA has performed at weddings where the ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors and dinner and dancing are indoors. We have plenty of equipment to provide our services indoors and outdoors at the same event. In fact, we have performed at events where there were three different locations for the same event! No matter what your events situation, we have you covered.
Does DSE-USA use subcontractors?
No. DS Entertainment USA does not hire surrogates or subcontractors to work any event. Dallas is the DJ at every engagement. In this way, Dallas ensures the highest quality event. All of our staff (roadies, stagehands, etc.) are family members. We are a proud veteran-owned family-operated business.
Do you accept playlists from clients?
We encourage our clients put together a list of songs you wish to have played. No one knows your tastes as good as you do. Feel free to provide us your playlists upon contracting with us. Of course, if you have a themed event or simply want DSE to select the music, DSE has the experience and music that will make your event swing! Clients do not need to provide a playlist, but we accept any input our clients may want to give us so that your night is exclusively your own.
Do you have any affiliations?
DSE-USA is solely owned and operated. We are not affiliated with any other company using "DS Entertainment" in their name. While we have performed around the world we are not associated with them. We are proud to be founded and operating in the U.S.A..
We do have relationships with other wedding vendors such as caterers, photographers, clergy, venues but our relationships are not exclusive. We are totally independent.
